Ensure anonymity

Key question: anonymous or open feedback?

The issue of anonymity in surveys varies from company to company. Some cultures value open feedback, while others prefer anonymous feedback. In cases where regular feedback is new, employees often prefer to remain anonymous.

When designing person-specific feedback, it's helpful to weigh the pros and cons of anonymous assessments. Open feedback allows the person to ask questions and better understand the feedback, but it takes courage to put oneself in the center of an assessment. On the other hand, anonymous feedback to managers is often recommended so that team members feel comfortable raising areas for development.

Consider team or group size

As a manager, you have the option to choose between open and anonymous feedback when planning a survey in LoopNow. However, it is recommended to use anonymous team surveys only when there are at least five participants in the group, as smaller groups may not provide sufficient anonymity. It's important to note that there is a minimum threshold of respondents required in LoopNow for anonymized responses to be displayed.
